A brief history

  • 1978

     

    Establishment

    Establishment of Amari Metals BV, the first subsidiary of the Aalco Group on the European mainland. Amari Metals starts trading in aluminium and stainless steel semi-finished products from Rotterdam.

  • 1980

    First steps

    Amari Metals becomes part of the Glynwed Group and moves to Woerden.

    Relocation

    Amari Metals moves again, this time, to its own warehouse in Nieuwegein.

  • 1998

    Part of the Amari Family

    Amari Metals becomes part of Amari Family following acquisition of the Aalco Group. All members of the Amari Family are fully self-supporting, but benefit from being part of a global network and an international organization with a strong financial position.

    Chinese partnerships

    Partnerships with factories in China for producing aluminium profiles are started.

  • 2011

    Expansion of product range

    Expansion of the range with steel pipes to meet the needs of partners to a greater extent.

    Vianen

    Amari Metals moves to the Gaasperwaard industrial estate in Vianen whilst retaining its central location in the Netherlands.

  • 2015

    1000

    The one thousandth container from the aluminium factories in China is unloaded.

    40th anniversary

    Amari Metals celebrates its 40th anniversary with all employees.

  • 2020

    Expansion

    Expansion of the warehouse by 1400 square metres.
